Description:
Come to join our Public Posture Class “Stand Taller and Function Better!” hosted by the National Posture Institute and presented by Ken Baldwin, Assistant Professor and IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year recipient. This class will offer easy-to-understand and hands-on techniques to incorporate good posture and body alignment into your daily life to reduce injury or pain!
Who Should Attend?

- Do you always find yourself hunched over in front your computer?
- Do you feel unusual pain around your shoulders?
- Do you feel low back pain after sitting at your desk after 30 minutes?
- Do you feel you are shrinking faster than other people at your age?
- Do you feel your regular commute in your car makes your body aches?
- Do you feel it’s getting hard to turn your neck?
- Do you feel numbness/tingling in your hands/fingers?
- Do you have any shoulder/back/hip injuries?
- Do your parents or children have bad posture?
IF you answered YES to any of these questions, you need to come to this Posture Analysis and Correction Class hosted by the National Posture Institute!
Participants will be educated in the following:
- Sit, Stand and Walk in proper posture and body alignment to reduce pain
- How to conduct daily activities in good posture, such as opening a heavy door, lifting a box from the floor, or typing at your computer
- How to exercise in proper posture to prevent injuries
- Exercises/Movements aid in your rehabilitation
- How to help your loved ones improve their posture and body alignment
- How to become a professional in posture and body alignment education
WORKSHOP FACULTY:
Ken
Baldwin is a full-time Assistant Professor, Certified Posture
Specialist™, and the Executive Director for The National Posture
Institute (NPI). Ken is the Senior Editor, content expert, and lead author for ACSM’s Resources for the Personal Trainer Textbook (2nd Edition), former Chair of IDEA’s National Personal Trainer Committee, and served on national committees with organizations that
include the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), AAHPERD, and the Medical Fitness Association (MFA). He’s been awarded Boston’s Best Personal Trainer three times and is the Recipient of IDEA’s National Personal Trainer of the Year Award. |
